Don Quijote Plaza is an open public space that features a Don Quijote Sculpture called “Ode to Freedom” that represents the people and city of Hialeah. Our design and concept were inspired by the artistic and visual lore of Don Quijote and the setting that embodies the imagery of the story. The image of Don Quijote set amidst an open landscape of windmills, grasses, and open sky further drove that vision which melded with the form and function of the site.
