Samson Park

Sunny Isles, FL

 

One of the last remnant parks displaying the historic art-deco architecture in Sunny Isles, this oceanfront park in the heart of the city required a new functional design sensitive to its historic elements and the natural ecology of the area. C+R working with engineers RJ Behar + Associates and architects Icon Design Group designed a new playground, stage area, and concert lawn area to be woven into the existing fabric of the park.  Sensitivity to ecological conditions were taken with careful lighting design around this sea turtle nesting site and protection and maintenance of the established dune vegetation.
