CLEO Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization exclusively dedicated to climate crisis education and advocacy. Founded in 2010, they work with communities across Florida to build climate literacy and mobilize climate action for a just, resilient future. Since 2018, Curtis + Rogers has been collaborating yearly with CLEO in their Climate Action Lab. This program seeks to educate Florida high school students on climate science and empower them to take action by exposing them to experts and professionals in the field of climate science, equity, and civic leadership. During our sessions we lead the students through the design process of an active project and get them thinking about Landscape Architecture's role in combating the climate crisis. Sharing knowledge with generations that will proceed us is rewarding and inspiring, they often teach us a thing or two in the process. We look forward to it every year!
